Deleted a project by mistake? Restore it from the recycle bin

Deleting a project in ProtoPM now moves it to a recycle bin instead of erasing it. You can undo right away, or restore it from the Recycle bin page for 30 days.

How to restore a project

  1. Right after deleting, choose Undo on the message that appears.
  2. Later, open Recycle bin from the Home sidebar.
  3. Find the project and choose Restore. It comes back with its schedule, field logs, files and invoices.

Who can delete and restore

  • The project owner, or a company owner or admin, can delete a project from Administration → Overview.
  • Company owners and admins see every binned project in the company; others see the ones they own.
  • Delete forever is only available from the recycle bin, and asks you to type the project name first.
  • Files in binned projects still count toward company storage until they're deleted for good.

Finished a job? Close it instead

If the work is done, set the project's phase to Closed rather than deleting it. Closed projects keep their records for warranty calls and the next bid.
