- Why is ProtoPM free?
- The core tools cost us little to run, and we want every crew, sub and client working from the same plan. Companies that need more, like extra storage, pay a small charge for add-ons. That keeps ProtoPM running for everyone.
- Is there a free trial?
- You don't need one. Free never expires, so you can run real jobs on it for as long as you like. When your company wants an extra, an owner or admin buys that add-on directly and can cancel anytime.
- Who pays for add-ons?
- The company. An owner or admin adds them once for everyone — nobody pays per user.
- Do subs and clients cost anything?
- No. Project collaborators are free and unlimited, and each can run their own free company too.
- What currency, and is tax included?
- Prices are in Canadian dollars. Sales tax is added at checkout where it applies.
- Can I cancel?
- Yes, anytime from Settings → Billing. Add-ons stay active until the end of the paid period.
- What happens to my data if an add-on ends?
- Your projects, logs and invoices stay. Uploads beyond the free storage and extra exports pause until you add the add-on again. If your files are over the free 2 GB, you have 60 days to add storage or remove files; after that the largest files are removed until you fit.
- Is there yearly pricing?
- Yes — yearly billing gives 2 months free. You can also prepay 3 or 12 months of an add-on for another company, like a GC for a sub.
