What the 3 weeks view shows
- Three weeks, starting with the current calendar week (Monday start).
- Open milestones already past their end date first, under Carried over (past due).
- Every other open milestone once, in the earliest week it overlaps, tagged Starts, Due or Ongoing.
- Done milestones and work starting after the third week are left out.
Assign milestones to a person
Pick someone in Assigned to on a milestone: a team member or a project guest, such as a subcontractor. They get a notification and an email when you assign them. In the look-ahead, use Show for to narrow the list to one person's work. Guests see a read-only Your dates tab with only the milestones assigned to them.
Record why a milestone slipped
Choose a delay reason: materials, weather, inspection, labor, design change, owner decision or other, with an optional note. The reason shows as a chip on the milestone, in the look-ahead and in the PDF, and it is kept after the work is finished.
Download the PDF for the crew
- Open the project and choose the Schedule tab.
- Switch to 3 weeks and, if you like, filter with Show for.
- Choose Download PDF.
Good to know
Each PDF uses one of the company's monthly project PDFs on Free; the Documents & Branding add-on makes them unlimited. ProtoPM never emails the look-ahead on its own. When a new week starts you'll see a hint in the app that the look-ahead is ready. See pricing.
