The four steps
- Basics: the project title, an optional client name and email, and what to start with: a blank project or your trade's template.
- Schedule: a start date (today by default) and an end date. Quick picks add 3, 6 or 12 months.
- Money (optional): the currency, the budget, and anything you already billed before today, which becomes the opening actuals.
- Location: drop a pin on the map, use your phone's location, or choose to add the site later.
Starter templates by trade
Templates exist for general contractors, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry and painting. Each one spreads six milestones across your dates and adds a starter punch list. Trades that need inspections get them too: an electrical job starts with permit, rough-in, rough-in inspection, trim-out and final inspection and energize. Everything a template adds is ordinary data you can edit or delete.
Why we changed it
The old form asked for everything on one screen. One question per screen is faster on a phone, and starting from a template means the Schedule and Field tabs aren't empty on day one. See every feature.
