How ProtoPM keeps your records

  • Your data

Deleted projects are kept for 30 days

When you delete a project, it goes to a recycle bin. You can undo right away, or restore it any time in the next 30 days. To delete it for good, you must type the project name first.

Ending an add-on never deletes your records

When an add-on ends, its features become read-only. Your projects and records stay. In Settings → Billing, each ended add-on is marked read-only.

  • Your data

You get 60 days' notice before any file is removed

Say a company uses more storage than it is allowed. Every file stays readable, and the company gets emails on days 0, 30 and 53. Only on day 60 are uploaded files removed, and only enough to fit the limit. Projects, logs and invoices are never removed.

  • Privacy

Client status reports leave out private details

The Client status report never includes the budget, invoices, financial history, risks, lessons learned or team contacts.

Questions

Where can I see what changed in ProtoPM?

Right here. Each month has its own page with the newest update first. Every change says what you can do now, shows a screenshot or a short demo, and links to a how-to. The RSS feed lists each update too.

How do I know when a change was made?

Each update sits under the day it shipped. The month page opens with a list of everything that changed that month, so you can jump to the one you need.

Will an update change or remove my data?

No. In October 2026, every update only added new fields and lists. Nothing you had already saved was removed or changed. If an update ever needs you to do something, that change says so in an Action needed note.
